Essayon Engineering & Development, Inc. was established in 2002 to serve municipal and corporate clients across water, wastewater, and site planning projects.

The practice supports cities in Dallas County and surrounding counties with system planning, distribution and collection design, treatment facilities, permitting, and project management.

Grant writing and grant or loan management are integrated with engineering services, giving public clients a coordinated path from identified need to funded construction.

President, founder, civil and environmental engineer

David McSwain is the president and founding member of Essayon Engineering & Development, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience in the design, project management, and construction management of water and wastewater systems and treatment facilities.

His work covers project concept through startup for new and expanded facilities, including grant and loan acquisition from state and federal agencies.

He has also worked directly at construction sites, supervising contractors and resolving field problems for fast-track projects.
